BORROWING, WITH THE DETAILS UP FRONT

More understanding.
Less guesswork.

A small loan still deserves a considered decision.

Before you borrow, it helps to see the whole picture: how much you receive, how long you will be repaying it, and what it costs in total. We bring those questions into focus so you know what to look for.

Lumos acts as a credit broker. We do not provide the money or make a lender’s approval decision. Any loan agreement is between you and the lender, and its terms should be read carefully before you accept.

FROM FIRST QUESTION TO INFORMED DECISION

Three steps.
Your choice throughout.

No pressure to rush. An enquiry does not mean you have agreed to borrow.

01

Start with an enquiry.

Share your name, email address and telephone number using the contact form. You do not need to provide bank credentials, card details or identification documents here.

Go to the form ↗
02

Understand the options.

If you are introduced to a lender, check its eligibility criteria, assessment process, rates and fees. Available options depend on the lender and your individual circumstances.

Know what to check ↗
03

Decide with the facts.

Read the full agreement, check the payment schedule and consider the impact on your budget. Only proceed if you understand the terms and can afford the repayments.

Understand the cost ↗

THE NUMBERS, EXPLAINED

Know what
borrowing costs.

APR helps put the annual cost into context. Your repayment schedule shows what that means for your actual loan.

The advertised range is 15%–18% APR, with a maximum APR of 18%. The minimum term is 12 months and the maximum is 24 months.

A MOMENT OF PERSPECTIVE

Borrow for a reason.
Repay with a plan.

Consider your regular expenses, existing commitments and the room left in your budget. A smaller repayment over a longer term can still mean paying more overall.

Think through affordability ↗

READ BEFORE YOU AGREE

A few things
worth checking.

A clear offer should help you answer these questions. If something is missing, ask the lender before you accept.

↗

What will I pay in total?

Look at the amount received, interest, mandatory fees and the full amount repayable. Check whether any optional service has been included.

↗

When are the payments due?

Confirm the number of payments, their amounts, the first due date and how payments will be collected. Compare those dates with your income and essential bills.

↗

What if my plans change?

Read the rules for early repayment, late or missed payments and financial difficulty. Ask for a settlement figure if you want to repay early.

↗

Who am I entering an agreement with?

Check the lender’s identity, contact information and relevant authorisation. Lumos is a broker and does not replace the lender’s assessment or agreement.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A little more
clarity.

The essentials, before you get started.

Ask us a question ↗
Is Lumos a lender?

No. Lumos is a trading name of Lumos Finance LTD and acts as a credit broker. We do not fund loans or make the lender’s final decision. Any loan agreement is with the lender named in your offer.

How much can I borrow, and for how long?

The loan range shown on this website is USD $100–$500, with repayment terms of 12–24 months. These are advertised ranges, not a personal offer. Actual availability depends on the lender, applicable eligibility rules and your circumstances.

What does 15%–18% APR mean?

APR means Annual Percentage Rate and expresses borrowing costs on an annual basis, including relevant interest and charges under the applicable calculation rules. The advertised range is 15%–18%, with a maximum APR of 18%. Check the offer’s total cost and actual repayment schedule as well as its APR.

Will an enquiry affect my credit score?

This contact form does not perform a credit check. A lender may carry out creditworthiness or affordability checks later. Read that lender’s notice to understand whether a check leaves a record visible to other lenders.

Can I repay early?

Ask the lender for an early settlement figure and the terms that apply. Your APR alone does not determine the settlement balance. Interest adjustments, charges and any statutory rights depend on the agreement and applicable law.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Contact the lender as soon as you think you may struggle to pay. Depending on the agreement and applicable rules, missed payments may lead to charges, additional interest, credit reporting or collection activity. Do not assume a specific penalty or grace period unless it appears in your agreement.

Does sending the form commit me to a loan?

No. It is a contact enquiry only. You are not entering a loan agreement, and there is no guarantee of an introduction, an offer or approval. Read all lender documents before deciding whether to proceed.

How can I raise a concern?

Contact [email protected] or call +44 7473 943393. Please explain what happened and the outcome you would like. Our Complaints page explains what information is helpful and how to distinguish a concern about Lumos from one about a lender.
